Spay/Neuter for Dogs

Stationary Clinic

Spay/neuter services for dogs are provided at our stationary clinic in Middletown. For cats, information regarding our feline-only mobile clinic can be found here. Surgery days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Fridays. Appointments are required. 

Prices start at $120 for male dogs and $150 for female dogs. This fee includes a rabies vaccine, cone collar, 3 days of take-home pain medication, and a mandatory tattoo. The cost of the spay/neuter procedure is determined by the dog’s weight. See the table below for more details.

*For male dogs with cryptorchid (undescended testicle), there will be an additional fee of $30 for each undescended testicle.

Prepaying Online

While many people choose to pay the morning of their appointment, we also offer the option to prepay for the surgery with a credit or debit card through PayPal. There is a minimal processing fee. Any additional services (distemper vaccine, flea treatment, etc.) may be purchased with cash or credit card in-person the morning of your appointment. Online payments are not accepted at special events. If you have any questions about payment methods, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Before making a prepayment, you MUST call us at (845) 343-1000 to schedule your appointment. Prepayments are required at least 48 hours before the appointment date.

Prepayments made must be used within 60 days.

Canine Spay/Neuter

Includes exam, anesthesia, pain medication, antibiotics, cone collar, and rabies vaccine and tag.

We always provide documentation at the time of service here at T.A.R.A. These documents include spay/neuter certificates, rabies certificates, vaccine records, and test results. However, to keep our costs low as a non-profit organization, we don’t provide free replacements. You can request copies of such documents using the field below.
